I was doing some sketches of the rather plump Britney and Leah begged me to post one. If I wasn't so tired I would've tried to push the drawing more, but I wanted to post it before I fell asleep.
I usually find myself examining caricatures & making mental notes about them, etc, but as soon as her head & fat neck began to appear on my monitor, I just cracked up & all that analysis crap went right out the window!
(Not that it isn't technically proficient, as well.)
Thanks Wil! I'm still pretty new at drawing caricatures and still think I have a lot of practice to do. Last month I got my first paid caricature job for Yellow Rat Bastard magazine and was a little freaked out. The piece came out okay and they liked it, but I did a lot more rough drawings for that one than anything else I've done for them. I'll be posting it later this month.
Yes, we're definitely moving to the Los Angeles area in the fall. At the end of April or early May we're planning a visit to check out what areas we may want to live. I've lived in NYC for almost 13 years and I'm ready for a change.
it looks just like her. first thing that comes to mind is, if i had your talent, i'd draw her pinching a loaf with fast food wrappers littered around her elephantine ankles.
