Coachella: The Masses

No photos can really capture the scale of Coachella. 175 acres of music fans, two outdoor stages and three huge tents.

Coachella: Sunday or Know Your Enemy

Day three was filled with tough choices. I really wanted to see Willie Nelson but I chose to shoot and watch some of the newer bands like CSS and Klaxons, both of which were great. Rage was as intense as I remembered. Seeing a giant polo field filled to capacity with people was truly mind blowing.

Coachella: Saturday or Give It Away

Day two is slightly hotter, though with a light breeze that feels as refreshing as sticking your head in the oven. Still it's impossible to not be stoked about the experience. So many great bands and artists, it's painful to decide who you're going to see and who you will snub.

A special treat for whoever guesses today's pictorial theme!

Coachella: Friday or All Is Full of Love

We survived the first day of Coachella and 100 degree plus weather. This is Leah's and my first time doing this festival. It's totally amazing thanks to my sister Steph and her great friends for providing VIP, Main Stage and photo passes!

No, I Haven't Quit Drawing!

I know it seems like I've forgotten how to hold a pencil because I've been posting so much photo stuff, but let me assure you that more drawings are on the way! Right now I have a bunch of great opportunities for my rock photography and I have to take advantage of them. There's a few personal art projects that I'll be starting once I get back from shooting Coachella this weekend. I'll also be doing a redesign of my portfolio and this blog. So hang tight and enjoy my scary clown sketch!

The Binges: King King 04-16-07

The Binges performed another great show last night pulling out all the stops before heading out on tour with Canadian rockers Priestess! If you live in Canada and love rock n' roll, do whatever it takes to see these two great bands together. More pics of The Binges and the three fantastic opening acts here:

The Binges: King King 04-09-07

Leah and I saw The Binges at King King last night. The band was great and put on a killer show. Mayuko, their guitar player has skills and swagger that make current male rockers seem like panty-waists. Next Monday is the last night of their residency before they hit the road. If you're in the LA area go see 'em!
