After a month and a half of doing non-stop branding and graphic design my drawing skills are weak as hell. I really noticed it when
Baloney Boy and I dropped in on a life drawing session last Saturday. My drawings were garbage! I'm not going to embarrass myself by posting them here. It was a good wake up call and I decided to purchase a new large hardcover sketchbook. As much as I love the clipboard for easy scanning, the small size was getting to me. Below are pictures of the first four pages that I drew today. I'm going to try and post new sketchbook drawings a couple times a week. Enjoy!

That sketchbook is pretty nifty, Brian. Your art looks good to me, can't see the problem.
I understand what you mean, though. I've been designing logos and flyers since the new year. I can't remember the last time I drew a cartoon. Thanks for the inspiration, keep posting these!

Hi Brian,
great fluid drawings. The sketchbook idea is good, will check your blog as much as I can.
Hope you are fine,
Tony
Just glad you're back to doing what you love.
Just glad that you're back to doing what you love to do.
I know the feeling when rust gets ya, but I'm still a fan of your work. I usually draw my favorite cartoons whenever my drawing muscles feel lumpy.
